He was one of the great characters and ambassadors of the game. I met him when he was guest speaker at a minor hockey awards banquet when I was in Pee Wee. A very funny guy, who for years would ref old timers games for charity. RIP

RIP Red. His book on the state of hockey is a must read for all hockey fans. He describes how the summit series lead to a change in the way hockey was played.
