Gagne-Thornton-Cheechoo #1 line
Tanguay-Sakic-Iginla #2 line
Kariya-Spezza-Heatley #3 line
Richards-Staal-Shanahan #4 line
Nash 13th forward
Redden-Rhegher defence pairing #1
Pronger-Phaneuf defence pairing #2
Boyle-Phillips defence pairing #3
McCabe 7th d-man
Brodeur starting goalie
Luongo backup goalie
Roloson third goalie
This is a wonderful team, it is a big improvement over the idiot team Team Canada put together and it would have won gold for us! Go fantasy team Canada, win the gold medal!
I'd point out Ryan Smyth was our best forward, but it's probably a lost cause.

Well do you like the rest of my team? If so where would you insert Smyth in the lineup I had.

You're sending Brad "I don't want to shoot at an open net, in the last minute of an elimination game" Richards, again?
He could win the Art Ross twice, before I would begin to let that absolutly horendous decision be forgottten.

I remember that to, and I was very mad at him, I yelled at him through the TV screen at the time, but he is still an extremely versatile two-way player who can be used on any line effectively. Anyway you need to have atleast one Tampa Bay boy on the team right?

He might be all that and more but he is still the guy who passed the puck when he had an empty net. :burning: You got Boyle from TB that's enough.
I might still find a spot for Lecavalier, like on the wing with Spezza or Thornton.

Hopefully Richards will redeem himself big big time if he ever plays for Canada again, like getting a breakaway to win gold for Canada in the dying seconds at a World Championships or World Cup in the next two years. :)
What do you think of the rest of my team?

The players are good for the most part.
Kariya, Boyle and Roloson are questionable. I think Phillips is an adequate d-man. I hope Niedermayer is injured and has not been forgotten on your team.

Definitely I only left Niedermayer of because he was injured, otherwise he is right on top. With Pronger not at his best this year he is Canada's best D-man by far, and his ability to skate end to end on the big ice with such efficiency would have been a HUGE asset to Canada.

I find it funny that you include Rick Nash on your team.

I only had him as 13th forward.

But weren't you the one exclaiming about how bad he was during the Olympics and he should never be allowed on the Team Canda roster ever again? If he was that bad, then you could definitely have picked at least 10 players to put over him.

Kariya has done enough this season in revitalizing his career to have earned a spot on Team Canada. Boyle is a solid defender who should be there in some capacity. Roloson is a questionable pick, there are guys such as Turco who would deserve the #3 goaltending spot more.

I should have read this more closely, Roloson as the third goalie? Marty Turco yes, Roloson, not based on this season or any other.

There's too many players that should go ahead of Kariya and Boyle.
WB moved Shanahan and Heatley to the Right Wing for some reason. Savard, Marleau, Crosby and Horcoff have all had more productive seasons than Kariya. And I still say Brind'amour should have been the fourth line center. So that would mean moving Staal to the wing. By the time everything was straightened out there would be no room for Kariya.
Same goes for Boyle. If you are going to take Phillips why not Hannan. I personally would send Stuart, ahead of Boyle. Then there is absense of Blake. He is still good enough to atleast be a #5 or 6 D-man.
