From PTI.. three quotes:

"On a scale of 1-3, it's a 4"
"The knee is shredded"
"Could be career ending"

I sure hope not.. that'd be a helluva sad story, and a waste of a guy who has enough talent to become one of the all time greats.

It's a bad injury no doubt, and I wouldn't be surprised if Palmer missed most of (or all of) next season. However, he doesn't play a position where he relies on his knees like WR, RB, or DB. As a QB all he really needs his legs for is avoiding the rush, and they'll be good enough to do that. After that it's all about his arm and that'll be fine.

I've also heard that the injury could be career ending but the doctors have said he should be ready by the beginning of next season. All he has to do is keep up with his rehab and he should be good to go for the start of next season. I believe Dan Marino had a similar injury and he came back no worse for wear. He just had to wear a knee brace, which Palmer was already wearing.
