By now, I'm sure everyone has heard of the fan that jumped into a Canadiens practise and tried to score on Theodore.
The habs waived it off as a funny event, but were concerned that it could happen again.
Well, on TSN this morning they did a Top Ten "Idiot Fan" list.
Some of the memorable ones were:
-A fan jumping onto the ice in Buffalo and taunting the Sabres bench.
Rob Ray laid into this guy so many times.
He got 15 - 20 full swinging rights in before the cops were able to jump in.
-A fan ran into the marathon race during the Summer Olympics in Greece.
Scared the crap out of the front-runner at the time, who went on to finish the race and win bronze.
I feel sorry for this athlete, running the race of his life and gets blind-sided by an idiot.
- The same idiot fan(marathon man) had previously run on the track of a formula-one race.
The announcers were like "Uh Oh, there's a lunatic on the track . . . doesn't he know these cars are travelling 180 mph"
The drivers were swerving wildly to avoid this clown(which can't be good at 180)
Too bad, they didn't make contact.
- Some other fan jumped on the ice, and one of the linesman, gave him a vicious check from behind head first into the boards.
They carried this jerk out on a stretcher with a backboard, and his neck in traction.
I believe that if you pay for your ticket, you have the right to jeer, shout, taunt, show rude signs, etc.
But if you jump into the playing field, you deserve what you get.
A nice Rob Ray knuckle sandwich, or a broken spine, or whatever

Everyone remembers Joe Falcone from Havertown, PA fighting Domi in the penalty box. Typical Philly fan...

What that fan did with Montreal is hilarious. I mean it was only practice so its not that serious. Theo went with the flow and made the 2 saves. I thought that was funny. If there's an actual game or event going on they should stay off the surface though. They should stay off the surface anyway, but if you must, do it during practice.

I thought it was funny as well.
But I also thought Rob Ray going full-tilt on the guys head was humourous too.
My point is, if you're going to do something like that, expect to pay whatever consequences come your way.

I couldn't get it to work either no matter where I looked. :(
Come to think of it, a certain Leaf site may have it.
Don't want to be accused of spam. ;)

There have also been some crazy incidents in baseball over the years like that father and son tandem attacking that first base coach.

Kansas City Royals' first base coach Tom Gambowa at Chicago-South's new Comisky Park. There was also that guy at Yankee Stadium this past season that jumped from the upper deck onto the mesh protection over the lower deck.
And then there's these idiots in Oakland:

Buffalo Bills games are always an interesting experience. JR I know you were at the Broncos/Bills game in December. Any problems?
When we went on a busload from Ottawa to Buffalo for the Carolina/Buffalo game some people from our group almost got into scraps because they were a little vocal about their support of the Panthers. As a matter of fact it did come to blows as we were leaving on the bus.
JR, am I missing something in that picture? :conspire:
Buffalo Bills games are always an interesting experience. JR I know you were at the Broncos/Bills game in December. Any problems?Yes, many.
Other than some expected insults hurled my way for wearing a Plummer jersey, there wasn't anything in terms of people wanting to fight me. There were several fights (mostly between Bills' fans) throughout the stadium, including a few right in the section I was sitting and snowballs were thrown around, but nothing too too serious.
I don't really blame the rowdy fans, though. It was a primetime game, so they had all day to drink (and they did). Also it was their last regular season home game so many just wanted to go out with a bang to end a sorry season.
JR, am I missing something in that picture? :conspire:Yes, brains are missing from that picture. Simply they're Oakland Raiders' fans, therefore they're idiots. :)
