The coaches hate him. I dont know why he even goes to the World juniors to play for the U.S. They used him as only the 13th forward last year and he played about 2 minutes. This year he is demeaned and used as a 3rd liner at best, but often a 4th liner, and sometimes is benched as well. He should have been playing on the 1st line both years. I have even read Edmonton make him play this tournament, that is awful, he was demeaned and ridiculed by the idiot U.S coaching staff who are at fault for the U.S sucking at each of the last two World juniors!

NCAA bias. Bobby Ryan had the same thing happen to him; as did Andrew Cogliano have happen to himself playing for the Canadian team.

I've yet to see a single report stating the Oilers forced Schremp to play for this team; in many interviews he said he was very happy to have the oppertunity to represent his country and that he is a proud American. That said, it was a pathetic show by a coach who's known to be classy in Walt Kyle to just continually play the Borque-Kessel-Oshie line while the arguably two best forwards (Schremp and Ryan) sat on the bench.

I agree, it was a total DISGRACE! I am not a big fan of either Schremp or Ryan, but I hate to see such a gross injustice. Walt Kyle probably went in with good intentions, but caved under the pressure of what the powers-that
-be above him wanted, which was inflation of alot of overhyped U.S prep school kids, and a message sent to those who had the gall to come north to play.
