Here is a letter I mailed yesterday.Dear Santa,

How are you? I am fine. I have been a good boy all year except for that misunderstanding with the police. They started it.

Anyways, while other kids ask for present for themselves, I know I'm blessed so I ask for a few gifts for the Canucks.

For Naslund - a quick healing groin
Bertuzzi - the ability to make one less stupid pass per play and shoot more.
Morrison - ability to win faceoffs and stay out of the penalty box.
H Sedin - 20 lbs of muscle without sacrificing skill. Also ability to grow a proper beard.
D Sedin - same as Henrik.
Carter - to be adopted by the Sedin family so he is totally on the same page. Also a haircut.
Park - the scoring touch he showed earlier in the season.
Cooke - a quick healing jaw so he can get rid of the cage.
Kesler - scoring touch, ability to not take stupid penalties.
Linden - a clone so the Canucks can have two top penaltykillers. Also his scoring touch back.
Ruutu - soft hands when in front of the opponent's net.
Salo - new glasses so he can get back his laser to the net he had earlier in the season.
Ohlund - respect from the Norris trophy voters.
Allen - a bigger brain so he doesn't make stupid mistakes.
Jovo - reeducation in what a defenseman is. Also a bigger brain.
Baumgartner - quick healing of his injured fingertip.
McCarthy - 3 inches in height and another 30 lbs of weight so he doesn't get knocked down so much.
Auld - encouragement in this trying time and the knowledge that a lot of the goals scored on him are the fault of the defense and forwards.

The Canucks as a team need a first line centre who can win faceoffs and stay out of the penalty box, a top 5 penaltykill, a #4 defenseman, and the gift of better defensive play in the New Year.

Thank you Santa. I will put out eggnog and pie for you.

PS Please put coal in the stocking of the Oilers and Flames, and their fans because they have been bad, especially in the last two weeks. :D

PPS If you really want me to have a present, I could use a girlfriend.
Another good offensive effort but defense is a foreign word right now.

Naslund and Bertuzzi need to be replaced on the shootout unless they agree to try different moves and skate harder. Kipper had hours to get set and slide over to stop the puck. I could have stopped their shots.

Morrison has got his offensive abilities back but has also developed a tendency to take stupid penalties.

The Canucks need to stay away from penalties that start with the letter "H". Hooking and holding are the downfall of the Canucks.

Bertuzzi played a great game.

The defense needs to wake up, several major screwups lead to Flames' goals.

Anyways, hope the Canucks have a good Christmas and are able to start winning again after the two day break.

Morrison with 4 assists you continue to slag, but Floatuzzi "had a great game".

Cooke is the one who had a great game. I didn't see Bertuzzi throwing his 260lbs around in that rather physical affair, but Cooke sure laid his 200 on a number of Flames.

Why does Crawford continue to put Kesler in the shootout top 3, wtf is wrong with the Sedins?

Marchment continues to show why he's one of the biggest dirtbags ever in the NHL, first hitting Cooke from behind into the boards, and then sacking Ruutu. The league should've suspended him for life about 5 serious infractions ago, I guess it'll take somebody getting seriously hurt before they'll do anything about that menace.

And Bertuzzi gets villified.

Well, good effort on offense. The top line had a very good night, and look to be turning a corner.

The defense was shakey. Whats happened with Salo? He hasn't been playing as well lately.

Allen also looks like he has been struggling.

Auld has been very hot and cold. Sometimes he makes a great save, and then allows a bad goal. Consistency is key. Sure its not all his fault..as the defense has stank..but a goalie must make clutch saves..

I do think the Canucks really need a number one goalie..and allow Auld to rest a little more

Morrison had a good offensive game. However, he was on the ice for 3 Calgary goals..and in the box for another.

Agreed. Bad choice by the crow. The twins are better shooters.

Maybe you need to open your eyes; Bertuzzi is regaining his touch and no longer the floater you think he is.

BS he's not, he might be getting a few points but still not at the rate he should be, and again, Morrison has a 4 point night and you continue to slag him. Floatuzzi also lacks any physical play which is a big part of what he's paid for, but you don't point out those deficiencies.

Morrison's had 28 penalty minutes this season, Floatuzzi 62.

Morrison is +7 this season, Floatuzzi -4.

And your other favorite who can do no wrong Ohlund was a -3 last night, but again, you slag Morrison.

Maye you need to open your eyes, or at least take off the rose-coloured glasses.

Ohlund was and still is suffering from a bad flu.

Like I said, any excuse for Ohlund or Floatuzzi, but Morrison, one of the hardest working, effective guys on the team, gets slagged for every slight deficiency in his game.

Morrison hasn't played that well this season. He has been one of the worst disapointments thus far

But, he has played well in the past..especially the last playoff run

Again, Morrison is the disapointment with the way Floatuzzi, Jovanoopsi and Ohlund have played???

When you consider what you should expect out of them, Morrison is doing just what should be expected of him, those other three are underacheiving bigtime, and so is Alen, and even Naslund, although he hasn't had the kind of help he should get out of Floatuzzi.
