For sale Cheap, One goalie formerly known as Fast Eddie, Currently goes by the name Shortside Softy. Has impressive resume, but needs a change. No reasonable offer refused.:D
Are you having issues with "fast Eddie"?
He would instantly make a team like the Canucks more of a contender then they already are. This was a group effort.
A group effort and the group fell apart. Sorry I couldn't help it.

The Terry Sawchuk curse?????
Since tying Sawchuk, Belfour is 0-5.
When is the next time the Leafs play the Thrashers? :wicked:

Seriously, I think the leafs should trade Belfour. Along with everyone else who has value on the team.

All is not well in Leaf-land? I thought you guys had the parade route planned out already.

How many years left on O'Neill's contract? He's only making 1.5M and with Havlat and now his replacement Bochenski out for long periods of time due to a shoulder injuries, he could be a worthwhile investment. Murray stated early in the year - before all the inujuries - that he wanted Eaves as a full-time Senator by January so it appears he'll now get his wish. But if Eaves doesn't work out, in spite of how good he's played to date, we'll have to look elsewhere for that secon-line guy.
I doubt there's much chance we actually land O'Neill as we're a division rival, he took less to play in Toronto, and has been playing some pretty poor hockey lately and Muckler may not want him right now because of it. But he's still a body that can provide secondary scoring, play physical, and is affordable cap-wise.

Hardly... but its not like the factual information means anything to you anyway.
As for trading O'niell Andy, I highly doubt he'd go to Ottawa, if anywhere. He wanted to be traded to Toronto to be close to his family after his brother's death.

I wouldn't trade an old shoe-lace for O'niel, the guys a floating premaddona who's only use is the pp one timer.

Hmmm, Brother dies, he plays like crap. I wonder if there is a connection?
Just give O'neill time, and he will return to form.

I see your shoe-lace and raise you one Varada. :)
I'd rather O'Neill rather than him, the currently non-aggitating aggitator Vaclav Varada. How many penalies has he drawn this season? And how many has he taken? He's had a good number of big hits but O'Neill can bring that same quality plus that PP weapon you mentioned. He'd look better on our 2nd man advantage than Varada currently does (he's there why?). That bum has complained for his ice-time, makes too much $$$ for his role and has hands of stone. At least Jeff can float and pot some goals. I'm just really pissed with Varada now, and this Bochenski injury means he'll likely get even more minutes while Vermette continues to rot on the 4th line. That's another thing, O'Neill seems to be taking his bottom-six role in Toronto in stride. Varada, meanwhile.......
Again, I doubt this happens though as we're a division rival, O'Neill came to TO for less for family reasons etc, and it's a lateral movement really. But the Leafs have never been a classy organization, it'd shake things up a bit, this isn't a blockbuster trade so it's not like either of these guys will come back to bite their former club in the ass, and they do shed a few 100k's of salary in this deal. There is a chance, even if it's slim to none.

Vaclav Varada wouldn't get you O'niell anyway.. lol
lol, I figured as much. That's why I felt him a viable comparisons to Ferret's shoe-lace. :) Not literally of couse as he has his assests, but I'm at the end of my rope with Varada right now.
But as I thought about it more, I thought it might actually work - a package centered around him - if Ottawa added some things (picks?).

I'm thinking you'd have to pay the leafs to take Varada. JMO.
O'niell has a very favourable contract (2 years, 1.5 mil each), and he should pop 25 goals or so in for you and is a physical presence. Thats worth a second tier type prospect and a pick IMO.
