________________________________

Nothing special about the special teams for either club. Home ice advantage for the Devils really isn't any advantage when the Oil come knocking - the Oil have played well on the road this year.

Word on the street is that Conks will get the start between the pipes for Edmonton.

A possible 5 game losing skid is quite possible tonight. The Oil have had their skid already early in the season...might as well be the Devil's turn.

The Oil need these points to keep up with Colorado and gun for Vancouver and Calgary in the Western Conference.

special teams = nothing special

Devils - 0 for 9
Oil - 0 for 5

Damn shootouts (nice deke by Kozlov)

Apart from the shootout...solid game by Conks...'specially in the OT.

Another bl**ping shootout loss!

Yeah, much credit goes to Ty Conklin's solid play in his return. Without him the Oilers wouldn't be leaving the Garden State with a point.

After Thursday's game against MON, there's two huge intradivision games coming up against Vancouver and Calgary, and despite the good play by Conklin tonight, I expect Juicy to get the start in both.
