Goaltenders Martin Biron of the Buffalo Sabres (3-0-0, 2.35 GAA), Ilya Bryzgalov of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and John Grahame of the Tampa Bay Lightning were runners-up for the defensive award.
Vokoun turned aside all 31 shots in a 2-0 victory against Calgary last Tuesday, stopped 19 shots in a 2-1 victory against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday and made 30 saves in a 4-3 shootout victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
Vokoun leads NHL goaltenders in victories, posting a 15-4-2 record, 2.40 goals-against average and .924 save percentage in 21 appearances.
