I'm going over to the parents' house on Saturday to help my mom load pictures from her digital camera cards onto her computer. I'm the most computer savvy of the family but that doesn't mean too much.
I know my mom wants to then send pictures from her computer to her friends and family. I'm thinking about getting her to use WinRar or WinZip to compress the photos before emailing them because I know from when my mom has received regular pictures, it takes forever with her dialup. I also know that some of her friends have dialup. Compression should help.
My other option is to load the pictures onto a free image hosting site and then set it up for private viewing only and my mom can give out the password to whom she wants. I've read a little bit about Photobucket and several others and I'm thinking of getting an account myself for my own use.
Can anyone give their choices for free image hosting and opinions on these choices. Ease of use is key, especially for my mom. :D
