Ok, I've read a few posts entertaining the idea of removing the All-Mighty Ottawa Senator games from the competition, so I thought I'd put it to a vote for all contestants.
There is 15 or so of us in the Saturday Eliminator Hockey, and I'd rather a decision like this to be made through a majority vote.
If I could ask that only the contestants in this competition vote please.
After the vote decides what way we go I'll consider the matter closed.
This will run until Thursday or enough votes are cast to decide.
Graci..

I voted No
As said before, it would make it more of a challenge

Maybe make a rule or something that you can't vote for the same team 2 weeks in a row?
If not, yes eliminate them from the pool.

I think just taking them out of competition all together or leaving them in without any limitations makes more sense and is less confusing for everyone, primarily me....lol
Leave it as it is. Maybe their run will be over soon.

Yes.
Although at times it seems like their in a league of their own, the last time I checked, the Ottawa Senators were one of the 30 NHL teams.

Yeah, they are in the league
But I don't get it. Why vote for a team, that chances are..will for sure win the game?
IMO, it takes the challenge out of it.
This is a compliment to the sens, btw :thumb:

I think a rule should be made where you can only vote for a certain team a certain number of times throughout the year.
But I don't get it. Why vote for a team, that chances are..will for sure win the game? Exactly. This is a Survivor pool. The point is to pick the team that I feel has the best chance to win on a particular night. For example, I felt Edmonton had a better chance to beat Chicago than Ottawa did to beat New Jersey last week, so I took the Oilers. I was wrong. I'm not going to purposely pick the Senators every week, but I will be picking them when they are the best bet to win on a Saturday night.
How can you change the rules to a contest that has already started? I vote yes to include the games.

I vote yes to keep them as well. Its stupid to take them out. What if another team in a couple weeks goes on a hot streak for a while, would we have to remove them as well?

Also should Dany Heatley not be allowed to be selected in fantasy leagues/games, because he "chances are..will for sure" record a point in every game?

Sure the Sens are a "gimme" and if players want to vote for them, so be it. The Sens will eventually lose a game here or there (at some point - maybe) so whoever votes for them for that game loses.
Keep the Sens.
Ironically it's Darsehole Tucker who still has 5 lives left because he keeps selecting the Sens. Isn't he/she a Laffs fan? That's really sad. As a Oilist I would NEVER cheer for/select/root for the Flames.
Not in a million years.

 BAHAHAHA. Yeah I'm a HUGE leafs fan. Oh wait....
I can tell you that I'll continue to vote for the Sens every week. Why shouldn't I be able to vote for any team that I think is going to win? Why aren't we talking about removing Detroit?
(and to try to eliminate the confusion about how I feel about the Leafs...they've made some great strides recently removing the likes of Travis Green, Shayne Corson and Bryan Marchement. But they've still got Tucker, McCabe, Domi and Belfour and they're still coached by Quinn. Until those issues are resolved, they suck :talkhand: )
EDIT: oh yeah...and to end the other confusion....I'm a "he"

No matter how good the Sens are now, I doubt they'll keep this pace all year long. What happens if Heatley get injured? Or Hasek? What happens if the team implodes on itself? There are way too many questions over a long season for a team to be eliminated just because they're hot.
Besides, whoever said winning was fair?:D
