Haven't had a GDT in here in a while, so in an effort to get the leafers back in here lets discuss this game.
Leafs are riding a 4 game winstreak heading into this one. Leafs have won both meetings against Boston thus far, beating them by a 9-5 margin. Eddie should be in tonight and the leaf lineup should remain as is.
Players to look out for:
Lindros(always plays well vs Boston)
Mccabe
Kaberle
Allison
Game is being shown nationally on TSN.

I thought the Beaners squeaked out one on the Leafs earlier?
We'll all be watching McCabe John-Boy..

Yes, watch him closely, instead of going with the past stereotype and hoping its right.
He'll make a liar out of me with my luck.

lol
There's no doubt he's got tremendous PP scoring skills John, I'm just curious to see if he's played as well defensively lately as some people have claimed.

You shall see.. The newfie soothsayer says so.
You were right btw, Boston did pull out a 2-1 victory over the leafs. My digital cable lied to me.

It will do that.
Hey, you've also got a national audience to watch & scrutinize the mighty Bruins as you painted them up to be in the 'Toughest Division' thread.
John, I love it that you're posting here more often again. The way you put your head on the chopping block is commendable..good to have you back wanker.

Well this doesn't look like the Bruins who have lost 6 straight..

This doesn't look like the leafs who have won 4 straight. Absof**kinglutely brutal. First goal, DIRECTLY because of Eric Lindros who was too damn lazy to drop down when the puck was down low. The second goal you could partially blame Stajan but he was protecting against Slegr who was coming down the backdoor.
Jeff O'niell has to pick it up. Mats Sundin is the only forward doing anything. How many passes ended up going off our sticks and deflecting onto a Bruin stick? It's like watching friggin squirts out there, they can't recieve a friggin pass. Head down going across center ice and then expect to carry the puck over the blue line? I mean WTF? The leafs have to pick it up, and quick.
I'm ready to KILL Khavanov.

I knew Boston could play better. It figures they start against the Leafs. Haha
Looked like Murray left, commentators mentioned hamstring or groin, any news.

McCabe must have had one of those off nights because his penalty kill effort was weak.
Belfour, what were you thinking?
Stajan was the hardest working Leaf tonight.
Why did Domi fight Alberts? Alberts barely touched Lindros and Domi wanted to fight. And it wasn't like Domi went right after Alberts in the neutral zone; no he waits until they are behind the Bruins net. If Domi was trying to spark the Leafs, he did a poor job of it.
Kaberle looks like a future star, putting up career high numbers. I'd resign him of McCabe anyday.
Bad game, they happen from time to time. I am always worried when they play a team who is on a losing streak, its got to end sooner or later. They lost a lot with the 3 days rest, but they will look back at the 3 days off as a blessing as they have 6 in 10 starting Friday.

You can't pin any of those goals on Mccabe..
At the beginning of the 2nd period I thought the leafs were going to make a game of it, but Eddie's mishap killed whatever momentum we had and that decided the game IMO.
Tucker with the goal, his 8th of the year. Maybe he will hit the 30 goal plateau.

McCabe on the two on one looked bad... Rather then taking one player or at least take away the pass and give belfour a chance he opted to simply skate with the forwards and try to block the pass with his stick?
I didn't watch the whole game though and even the best defensemen are capable of making mistakes

Stajan is one of the hardest workers everynight. Leafer fans love him. HE was my Avatar, I'll have to find him again.
I thought the same thing about the fight. If the hit on Lindros was any softer it wouldn't have been a hit at all. But we gotta' protect his ever precious noggin.
Kaberle has been impressive. And after seeing the numbers in the Trade McCabe thread I am inclined to agree. I would have Kaberle signed to atleast a five year deal before I even looked at McCabe.
