The Top 5 Reasons Tampa Bay will not repeat as Champs.:D
5. Khabibu-Who are they going to get to repeat the goaltending performance?
4. That innocent "Expansion Team" routine has gotten old.
3. LeCavalier, St. louis and Richards will be too tired from a gold medal win.
2. Aaaahhhhh-Taaaaahhhhh-Waaaahhhh
1. Calgary only let them win so they didn't have to pay for storage during the lock out. :thumb:

Ottawa is the best reason. One of the top teams in the East and they have consistently have Tampa's number.

5. Sean Burke and John Grahame are going to show everyone that Khabibulin was a bum.
4. Who cares about the expansion team routine, they're doing better than the Thrashers and BJs.
3. Possibly one of these guys will make the Olympic team, maybe none so they will be fresh for the playoffs.
2. Ottawa will be tired from spanking the Leafs and Flyers so the Lightning may have a chance.
1. Calgary could have stashed the Cup on their bandwagon because as soon as the lockout occurred, lots of seats were suddenly empty.
:D

5. Wow, look what that overpaid, overated goalie is doing in Chicago.
4. Tampa is in their 13th season, so what are you talking about?
3. Oh yes, just like the Red Wings were after the 2002 Winter Olympics.
2. Hmmm...Tampa has 1 Cup...Ottawa (the modern team anyway) has 0 Cup appearances. Philadelphia took the Bolts to a Game 7 last year, as did the Flames. In fact, if the Flames hadn't choked, we wouldn't even be talking about the Lightning.
1. If Gelinas' goal in Game 6 had counted, Tampa wouldn't have even made it to Game 7.:D

All of those, while certainly true, have no bearing on Tampa's chances this season.......
Want my reason? Ottawa and Philly are just better teams. One of those two will represent the East IMO. Too much top end talent in comparison to the other Eastern contenders and both have the netminding to do it. The trump card lesser oppositions can always clutch to is goaltending. But even then both teams - espcially my Sens for once!!!!! - have the clear upper hand.

No, I just have a good idea of what teams get dominated or are dominant
Tampa dominates Philly
Ottawa dominates Tampa
Ottawa dominates Philly (playoffs)
Philly dominates Toronto (playoffs)
Ottawa dominates Toronto (regular season)
Toronto dominates Ottawa (playoffs)
NJ used to dominate us but not anymore. Won the regular and playoff series.

Top 5 reasons why Ottawa wont win the Cup::stir:
5. John Muckler starts worshipping Mike Milbury, and trades the entire front line for Sean Avery.
4. During the second round of the playoffs, Zdeno Chara loses it and McCabe-dolls the whole team. :box:
3. Freak storm causes Ottawa charter to end up in Newfoundland. After the Newfie Screech they're just not the same. :hammer2:
2.The NHL creates a rule banning Ottawa from the Conference finals. :sign:
1. @#$% ## Leafs, #$$@$$%# Kill ,those @@#$ $%%$$!@ little *&%$@#!! Not again! :curse:

Hmmm...and yet the Sens have had about as much playoff success as the Flyers have over the last 5 years.
Unless you count the 2000 ECF, where Philly blew a 3-1 series lead, or the 97 Finals, where they were swept by the Red Wings.:D
