Horrible accident. I really feel for Chris Neil. To be riding such an emotional high, with him playing well and the team playing well, life going good, and to get devastating news like that. Just horrible and a mortal sin.
My condolences go out to Neil and his family through this horrific rough time.
Man - getting sudden bad news like that is like getting punched in the chest. It just stops you in your tracks and turns your life upside down. My sincerest condolences to Chris and his family and friends.
John what do you mean by "mortal sin"?

Don't take it literally. I thought everyone said it but it could be the Newfie dialect..lol.
When I say something is a mortal sin its just a terrible thing. Using the words "mortal sin" gives a stronger effect rather then saying "this is terrible". It originally came from someone saying what someone did was a "sin", the biblical term.
Well in my best Newfie accent it's a mortal sin.

Rest in Peace Mrs. Neil.
It's been a funky few days in the NHL hasn't it?

No worries John, I was not trying to make a big deal out of it at all. I was just genuinely curious, I've never heard that term used before.

That's sad. Neil will be ok though. It's a fact of life - and we all have to deal with it eventually, and we try to get back on track. Antropov's father just died, he came back a better player imo. O'Neill's brother died at the start of the season, and Jeff is having a pretty good run so far. Some people let death change them... some excel because of it. Let Neil mourn... he'll be back hungrier then before.

Some people let death change them
Most people are changed by death. No matter how you put it
Some for the better, and some for the worse.
