No one I've talked to has ever been as high on Manny Legace as me. No one else agreed with my belief that Legace could come out from the shadow of others and be a starter. Well guess what? I was right.

Legace is 12 - 3 - 0 in 16 games with 2 shutouts, a 2.08 GAA and .918 Sv%. He is 1st in the NHL in wins, 4th in GAA and 9th in Sv%. Not too shabby for a career backup.

Of course Legace backstops the Red Wings, an elite team but he still has to play hard.

So everyone else can :talkhand: , I was right. :D

I'm with you IT, I was ridiculed 3.5 years ago on another forum for saying that Legace would in the meantime stake his claim to be considered as 3rd string for the '06 Olympic team, and not only do I think they made a mistake by not putting him on the list (What Canadian goaltender is more deserving right now?), but I firmly believe that had there been a season last year, he'd have made believers out of many much sooner.
