Its a simple question..

-If you think he should go, who would be a suitable replacement?

-If you think he shouldn't go, please state your reasoning

Get rid of Crawford if the Canucks don't get past the first round of the playoffs and then hire Ted Nolan. Unless of course the problem is crappy play by Cloutier and certain floating players.

Then trade Cloutier, Brookbank, the assistant coaches, and Nonis. Give the GM job to Tambellini and don't give him a sandwich budget. Trade the scouting staff to some team in the ECHL and find some scouts that know what talent is.

Crawford is a horrible coach, and I think Vancouver missed out on several much better coaches in the offseason. A guy like Paul Maurice or Joel Quennville would've been great.

What about Kevin Constantine?

I think that the players have tuned Crow out, his threats don't work anymore. The LA game was the third time this season that they have started flat and gotten blown out, true they mounted a comeback, but it fell short. They have not been a motivated bunch to play hard and consistent for a full 60 minutes for a I don't know how long. I voted for Andy Murray as I don't see Ted Nolan as the answer and Kevin Constantine is an owner/gm/coach of Everret of the WHL and may not want the hassle, but these underachieving coasters need a swift kick in thier collective rears or they will be golfing in early May- again:mad:

Agreed Mr. Okanagan Apple Eater

I really like what Andy Murray brings out of his team. Just look at what he has done for LA over the years. Plus, he likes an offensive game..well suited for Vancouver.

I also like Brian's idea of Paul Maurice. This guy also seems to get alot out of his players.

The canucks need a solid coach, and the Crow just isn't that

I don't think Maurice is a good coach for todays NHL. People are saying he'll be the next leaf coach, god I hope not.

Any particular reason you don't think he's a good coach for todays NHL?

I still think Andy Murray is the best coach in the NHL today.

I'm judging by the style of play he used in Carolina, and the style he's using with the Marlies this season. The AHL is still full of obstruction IMO. I just don't think that defensive style will work.

Do you know how long he is under contract?

Not a clue.

Just know the mans one of the best motivators in hockey, and knows the game as well as anyone. His teams are almost always a high-tempo team that relies on effort and when he's given some talent (Demitra?) they can do amazing things.

Larry Robinson might be another solid coach for the Canucks. He seems to like more of an up-tempo game, and has done a very good job with helping out some very good defensemen in Niedermayer, Stevens, Rafalski, and White. He might do Ohlund, Jovanovski, Allen, Salo, and McCarthy some good on the back end.:thumb:

That being said, good luck getting him away from Lou Lamoriello.

Yeah, Robinson would be very good for Vancouver.

Either he or Andy Murray would be solid fits

How about Brent Sutter?

He seems like a good coach. The only question is..could he coach the NHL players?

From what I understand Brent has some strong ties in Alberta, his kids are young and in school, his present job he has family time and complete control of player and hockey decisions, I doubt he would give that all up, at this point. He will coach in the NHL, but not this year.

Alright, last night Crawford basically blamed the loss on Noronen

Its time for him to go. Pack your mouth, and your bags..

We have had too many decent goalies lose confidence due to this joke of a coach

Not to mention he has favourites, and destroys the team

Nonis best move of the deadline, firing Crawford

Pat Quinn has long been a players coach, Pat Quinn should be available at seasons end. He could coach and GM. Think of the money and time saved eh ;)
