We are more than halfway through the season and there have been a couple of players that are playing above their competition. My question is, who do you think is the MVP and why???

I gotta go with Carson Palmer. Leads the league in TD passes(18) and completion percentage(70%). He is 2nd in the league in QB rating(106.3) and 5th in passing yards(2285). This all among starting QBs. Also, he has the Bengals at 7-2 and the tied for top of their division. Yes, that's right, the Bengals are 7-2 and tied at the top of their division.

I was gonna come here and start the exact same thread LOL

Anyways, I'm going with Palmer too. Like most people, I thought he'd make some big strides this season, but I don't think about could of predicted him emerging as a top 3 QB in the league this quickly. On top of that, the Bengals are one of the best teams in the league this season.

Honourable mention to Steve Smith. Nobody mentions him in MVP talk, but statistically he's been the best receiver in football this year (leads league in receiving yards and receiving TDs, second in receptions and yards/game). He makes that Carolina offense go, and has made a lot of clutch plays for them this season. The Panthers will win the NFC this year, and he'll be a big reason why.

Shaun Alexander, followed by Carson Palmer, followed by Jake Plummer.

I'll possibly post reasons later.

As of right now I'm going with Shaun Alexander! He's got 19 tds and has led the Seahawks to an 8-2 record which puts them at #1 in the NFC!:eyebug:

Palmer followed by Edge.

Palmer has been a man on fire, and is leading a Cincy team to big, big things.

Edge has been the #1 weapon in Indi and is helping with their ball control (which is creating the illusion they have a defense ;) ).
