View Full Version : So what happens to Mike Peca? Possibly Dvorak as well?
Well, we've got a line on fire.
Smyth - Horcoff - Hemsky
We've got a centerman and a winger with great chemistry together, though they haven't found a RW yet (Kolanos?)
Torres - Stoll
Last night the RPM line was put back together and looked outstanding.
Moreau - Reasoner - Pisani
So.. we're paying Mike Peca $4,000,000... to play on the fourth line? The hell?
Secondly, if Kolanos can find chemistry with Torres and Stoll, where does Dvorak go?

I like the way the fourth line looks without peca, they play good. I dunno its kind a delima, hes a good player, maybe we could put him as a winger on the 2nd line??? Maybe they can just shift him through the other lines? Dvorak looked good paired with smyth... Im so glad Im not a coach and have to figure this out.

Peca has just returned from a concussion and IMHO he will start to create more scoring opportunities and eventually rediscover his touch and find the back of the net. It's been a slow start for him (so far).
I wouldn't put too much stock in Kolanos. From all reports so far, he is noted to be rather lazy and managed to lose a spot on the Phoenix roster. It wasn't a big gamble for Lowe to pick up the $54K waiver fee and a two-way contract.
Noteables from the BJ game...
Hemsky = ZERO shots on goal (15:18 TOI)
Reasoner = ZERO shots on goal (15:02 TOI)
Dvorak = 5 shots on goal - tops on the team (15:18 TOI)
MA Bergeron was the only player at -1 (21:53 TOI). He has to stop these mental lapses and coughing up the puck in the defensive zone.

Bergeron IMO, is still young but hes been playing very well. Hes going to make mistakes, but I see him becoming one of the better D-men in the NHL.
