3:46 PM: Bulis, Bonk out
Jan Bulis (left shoulder out until at least Saturday, likely longer) and Radek Bonk (groin) will miss tonight's contest versus the Lightning.
For Tampa Bay, Brian Eklund gets the nod in goal for Tampa. It's his first career NHL start.
Question for Habs fans here, or should I say CBC and TT, how are you feeling about Mr. Bonk? Is he living up to expectations with the Habs? Has he floated his way into the bad books yet? Has he been consistent? Do you feel he's worth his price tag?

Yeah, not many of us around here
Well, personally..I thought Bonk would have performed better. He has 3 assists thru 11 games, but is sidelined with injury.
He plays a shutdown role well..more of a defensive role for the Habs. This is something the Habs have lacked. Whereas as a sen, he was asked to do more on offense.
Bonk makes 2.4 million..so not as bad as what he was previously making. But still..I would like to see him produce more offense.
So, the jury is still out on Mr. Bonk

Last night he played alright. Seemed to have a few chances, but couldn't hit the net
I hope he can get his act together

It sucks, I only see highlights over here in the willywags on NHL.com.......I haven't seen anything of Bonk since he hasn't had any goals...I think we have too much talent up front to give him a shot on either of the top two lines.....maybe now with Kovalev out he'll get a shot

Yeah, his ice time may get increased. But then again he is out, with a thigh injury
I wouldn't mind seeing a Ryder-Bonk-Ribs line..

Again? Didn't he just get back from an injury?

Well..I am getting very tired of Mr. Bonk
Some Habs fans are saying, he is there to be a 3rd line center..
Sure..but I would like to see SOME production. Especially since Kovalev is out, it would be nice to see him step it up
This guy is capable of 20 goals, not 2

How about this..
Send Bonk to Team Czech Republic for Steve Rucchin?
This would be a good deal for both teams. With Jagr, the sky is the limit for Bonk  :boogie:
:talkhand: Montreal has much more urgent matters to deal with than Bonk. He's been performing a lot better that several other players on this team.
