It now looks certain he wont make the Olympic team due to a second injury, where he would have been a virtual lock without the injuries he has had. In 2004 he had to miss Worlds with a tonsil illness, and if he had impressed there he probably would have been put on the World Cup team, but was bypassed for that as well. He has had the worst luck with injuries and illness so far in his career.
