View Full Version : GDT Edm @ Det (11/03)
The Oilers are on a 3 game winning streak while the Wings are the best team in hockey at 12-1. The thing is, the Wings have had a buttersoft schedule thus far, and this game could prove to be a real test as to just how good they are as a team.
Markkanen and Osgood will be the starters.
Games on at 5:30 MST on Oilers PPV.

Is Peca out?
I hear something about him maybe playing?
Man I hope the Oil are on their game tonight. A win would be a great boost

12:02 PM: Peca slowly improving
Oilers' forward Mike Peca is showing signs of improvement from a mild concussion which occured after he recieved an elbow in the face from Blue Jackets forward Rick Nash during Tuesday's victory over Columbus.
Peca is expected to skate tomorrow but it remains unclear when he will be able to return to action.
Sounds like Brodziak will draw in. With our current system losing wingers hurts a lot more than losing centers. All of our 5 centers are capable of playing 20 minutes of mistake free hockey and have limited offensive potential (I'd say Peca is the best defensively, by a slim margin, and Horcoff offensively.. slim margin again).
Reasoner, Peca, Stoll, Horcoff are fairly interchangable parts, and Brodziak looked very good in the action he's had.
The soilers are tougher competition than Anaheim, San Jose, LA, Vancouver and Calgary? :conspire:

Watch the trolling.
Oilers are ahead of Calgary, beat Anahiem and Vancouver, and lost a close one to LA.

Perhaps the Oil can join Vancouver, as the second team to have beaten the mighty Wings?
With Legace out, anything is possible.

Hey now.
You say the Oil lost a close one to LA, but beat Vancouver?
IIRC the Oilers and Canucks had to go to the shootout to decide the game :boogie: Now thats what I call a close one

..Holmstrom from Cory Cross.
lol
lol
He been very good this season.. but that's inexcusable.
Smyth from Hemsky.. love it.
2-1.
From the sounds of it (sigh..) it's been an outstanding game to watch.
2-2 after 2. Cross has been injured.
4-3 Oilers win!
Huge victory for the team, that's 4 in a row and that has to build even more confidence for the team!
"Tor-hes"
Pronger.. wow. What a stud.
Awesome game. Markkanen kept Edmonton in it so many times.
Pronger was a monster. So glad to see Pisani and Torres scoring. Hemsky had a beautiful pass to set up Smyth's goal.
The PPV commentating and graphics sucked, but this behind the scenes stuff in the Oilers' locker room is cool.
See you in the STL tommorow night, as they drive for five in a row.
Bergeron broke his finger and is staying in Detroit to have surgery, Cross is out atleast 7-10 days with a strained MCL. Ouch.

Man I wish I ordered this game, it sounds like a good one. I just love Torres, hes been great since he joined the oilers.
Losing Bergeron and Cross is not good. Hopefully this can give the Semov the opportunity to show what he can do. How long is bergeron is going be out for.
