Laraque is in tonight, lines are supposedly..

Smyth - Horcof - Hemsky
Torres - Stoll - Pisani
Moreau - Peca - Dvorak
Harvey - Reasoner - Laraque

And..

Nash - Hrdina - Vyborny
Fritsche - Malhotra - Zherdev
Chimera - Marchant - Letowski
Shelley/Goertzen - Wright - Rupp (kinda scrambled, right names, could be wrong positions)

Assuming Shelley is playing, I'm just fine seeing Georges suit up tonight. Shelley is just a goon who has no problem taking a run at a star if he knows he won't have to pay for it; and him and Laraque have a bit of a history as well (IIRC they had an epic a few years ago).

Just got in. I missed the first period.

I actually got to see Hemsky shoot the puck (*gasp*) and thus score a real beauty. That's why we want him to shoot more!

Smyth added another PP marker late in the second for a 3-1 lead.

Hemsky added another, as the Oilers poured it on in the third to win 5-1. Hopefully tonight is Ales' coming out party. That would be dynamite! :)

Jussi played well against a young and talented B.J. team.

That's now three wins in a row as a huge test looms on Thursday at the league's best Red Wings. Anyone in AB planning on ordering the PPV? Fortunately with the Centre Ice package and not living in the Oilers' region, I'll get the game.

Any word on Peca? Nash got a good hit on him tonight?

From TSN

Blue Jackets left-winger Rick Nash, playing just his second game of the season after suffering a high ankle sprain in training camp, knocked Edmonton centre Mike Peca from the game with a mild concussion in the first following a high fast-moving left elbow in the open ice.

I thought that hit was borderline at absolute best on Peca.. it was a hit to the head, any way you slice it.

Asides from that.. Semenov and Laraque both played their best games of the year. Hemsky is on absolute fire (8 points in 3 games). Markkanen is playing awesome (though, he has most of the year).

Most importantly? This was the first time we saw Pronger start to look dominate offensively.

Good solid win for the Oilers

However, why didn't Columbus start Prusek? He has been much better than Denis

What's the point of posting that?

Discussion above if it?s clean Dev
Looked clean to me but the consequences of it suck. Oilers can?t afford to lose any depth in center
Good to see Hemsky notch a few. I hope he keeps it up

The hit was clean, Pecas short he only comes up to Nash's elbow area. Its definatly unfourtant, but I thought I heard they where expecting him to play agains the wings.

Those states arent that intresting for the centers espically, consdering they lost Peca half way threw the game. Although progner not playing 30mins is kinda intresting. I think thats a good sign, meaning that our other D-men are playing so great that progner doenst have to play half the game himself.
