This is the 2nd part of a two game set in Colorado and like the two parter against the Wild, I expect a totally different team than the one that showed up in the first game.
Last I heard, Bryan Allen is still injured after blocking a shot early last week so Brookbank will probably play again. I say send Brookbank to the AHL and bring someone up for a few games to fill Allen's spot.
I hope Auld starts this game but Crawford will want Cloutier to get right back on the horse.
I mailed Bertuzzi a set of earplugs but he may not elect to wear them. Oh well, hopefully he can block it out like I did the ex girlfriend's constant talking. :D
Crawford better have drilled the PP and PK yesterday because the Canucks are terrible on special teams right now and considering special teams is very important right now because of all the penalties, the Canucks need to smarten up if they expect to stay on top of the division.
Only 40 minutes until the game starts so I have my fingers crossed that the Canucks spank the rotten Avs in this game.
Can't believe I am saying this and I do have to work a 9 hr shift because of some time change thing, but I have a great big tv in the lobby at work and its going to be sweet to watch the rematch and hopefully the same result as the last one. :)
I love seeing Bertuzzi shut 20,000 people up in 2 seconds.

:rollover: Well said
Take that classless avs fans :thumb:
Jovanoopsi, at least 4 brutal plays in the first period. :curse:
Bertuzzi is having BY FAR his best game this season, he's actually moving his feet. and going hard to the net for once.
If he starts backchecking I want a DNA test as I won't believe it's actually him. :conspire:

Jovanoopsi, at least 4 brutal plays in the first period. :curse:Jovo just made another big mistake. :curse:
Yep, WTF was he doing coming over, trying to give Brunette as easy a pass as possible?
Again, BRUTAL!

Another lacklustre effort by the Canucks
Alex "AHL" Auld really has to work on that five hole  Otherwise he played well.
Bertuzzi was dominant, but the rest of the team was far from dominant
McCarthy? :conspire:
Well the Avs can thank Rovo for the gift to get back in, and McCarthy for the other to win it, they're missing Allen's solid D right now, McCarthy making up the minutes is not good.
Auld played well, but showed his big weakness on the winning goal, I remember 5 or 6 going in on him 5-hole in the '04 playoffs.
Sedins looked very strong again tonight, Park as well, Cooke was hot and cold, Linden had a good 3rd period, but looked old and ready for retirement in the first 2.
Bertuzzi earned his way back onto the top line, hopefully he keeps it up, Nas and Mo looked a bit lost without him, as good as Park has played.
Jovocrap needs to go to the AHL until he learns how to play defense.

What I have noticed in these past two games is with Allen hurt, the defense is like chickens running around with their heads cut off. With Brookbank playing 2 minutes per game, the remaining 5 defensemen keep rotating partners and they aren't on the same page about positioning and what to do. It is making Jovo's mistakes worse and was evident on the Av's tying goal and winning goal, and Sakic's 1 on nobody.
The Canucks need to put Brookbank on waivers and if he clears, either send him to the AHL or buy him out because in the new NHL, Brookbank is useless. Better to fill the roster spot with a defenseman who can actually play the game and is capable of filling in on any of the three pairings when one of the top 6 defensemen is hurt, thus allowing two of the three pairs to remain the same and crappy defensive mistakes won't happen.
Brookbank to Manitoba or bought out and bring up a Manitoba Moose defenseman to fill in and sit in the press box when no one is hurt.

Do you really need a goat? I can arrange for one to be delivered to your door
Sure Jovo played badly, but you harp and harp all the time about his play. I'm beginning to think you want the wings to trade for him ;)
Did he steal your milk and cookies?

I'm surprised they didn't call up Doig. He was recently signed to a two-way deal.
BTW, he has been playing well for the Moose..since most of the defense down there is injured

I just call it like I see it.
Unlike you, I don't have an endless list of excuses at the ready for pet players who consistently play poorly. :thumb:
The Canucks are legitimate cup contenders, but I will be shocked to say the least if they can win the big prize with Clutzier in net and/or Jovanoopsi playing big minutes on the blueline.
Better cut down on the hot sauce TT, it's obviously steaming up your rose-coloured glasses. :D

Wipe the steam off your rose-coulored glasses for once TT. :D
Jovo has played poorly, and I do acknowledge that. But, I do think he can turn his game around. You must remember that his partner was out for this game. Is it an excuse for bad play? Its hard to say
I'm not a big fan of Cloutier, but will the Canucks trade him? No. So I have learnt to live with him
And it appeared tonight, that Auld is not ready..atleast not with that 5 hole
I agree that is Auld's weakness, but you can't fault the goalie for not stopping clearcut break aways caused by brutal defense. Auld's hardly had much of a chance to prove himslef, but still has definitely outplayed Clutzier this year, and yet you so easily write him off, but constantly defend Clutzier despite years of choking???

Cloutier needs to play to keep his confidence up, being the backup will destroy his confidence. So do the Canucks trade Cloutier? A deal for a better goalie would mean giving up other players on the team, which I don't want to see happen because I think the Canucks have the best line up in years (except Brookbank).
So what choice do the Canucks have but to keep playing Cloutier? Maybe if he blows in the playoffs, the Canucks will finally make a trade or buy him out. Until than, we need to believe in Cloutier. He has had a fairly good season so far except for the two major defeats. The Canucks have a winning record and part of that is thanks to Cloutier.
That being said, if Cloutier is deemed to choke in this season's playoffs, I say cut him loose.

First, I never said make Auld the starter, although I think unproven is better than proven choker. What I said was, give him a chance.
I don't "need to believe" in anything based on faith, let alone somebody that's proven to choke when it counts, so you go ahead, I'll pass.
Just because they're winning, doesn't mean Clutz is playing well, his numbers suck, Auld's are MUCH better.
Problem is, you can't just buy a contract out from my understanding, it'll still count towards the cap.

Just because they're winning, doesn't mean Clutz is playing well, his numbers suck, Auld's are MUCH better.True but Cloutier has also played more games and has had more chances to screw up.
Problem is, you can't just buy a contract out from my understanding, it'll still count towards the cap.True so the Canucks are stuck with Cloutier unless they traded him. The Canucks will continue to play Cloutier when he is healthy, possibly even if Auld stands on his head and goes on a tear. It happened to Hedburg and other backups for some stupid reason. I can't explain it other than if Cloutier is paid the most, he should play.
I just call it like I see it.
