Bergeron scores on a late period goal, and after being outshot 11-3 are up 1-0!

Speaking of Bergeron..what do you think his potential is?

Hard to tell in the current NHL.. he just coughed the puck up to Modano horribly and it's now a 2-2 game Common theme for Bergeron.

I'd say a 5th defenseman who can anchor a good PP.

Up 3-2 on Smyth's 200 career goal heading into the third.

The PP comes to the rescue and the Oilers win in Dallas and SNAP the streak!

Hemsky with 2 assists, Smyth with his 200th career goal.. Ithink Pronger flirted with 35 minutes, but I'm not sure.

About freakin time the Oilers won again and they beat the stinkin Stars to snap the losing skid so everyone has to like that. Hopefully this is the start of a good run for the Oilers.

Way to go, Juicy. :D

Great game tonight.

Markkanen was a stud, especially in the first period when the Oilers came out very flat and were badly outshot. It's awesome to have Smyth back and contributing. He was sorely missed.

I love seeing the Oilers beat the Stars. It was a huge win for the team tonight and should give them some much needed confidence.

All I can say is thank god. I didnt watch this game unfourtantly (went out instead), caught some of the highlights... Hopefully edmonton can keep this momentum up and win next game.

I for one think that Bergeron has great potential, he can move the puck great, he can skate, and he has a great shot. In a years time or so he'll be one of edmontons better dmen for sure... I would actually think that he has more potential than brewer, hes a smaller guy but he still can lay some hits, and he makes some good defensive plays.

BTW, how did Igor and Cross play tonights game? Both of them seem to be giving the puck up a lot the last few games.

Do you guys think that with this win tonight some of the talk about major changes is going to cool down? Maybe if edmonton can string a few wins together, talk about a new coach or player changes may vanish.

Yeah, he played a lot last night. almost 32 minutes. Not a schock, since he's 3 in the league in ATOI, at 28:42 minutes per game, 16 seconds behind McCabe and Kaberle.

Yeah, and it's really not surprising considering we lost Smith on a horrible call with about 15 minutes to go in the 2nd period.

This team is a defenseman away from being something scary..
