I'd say this is a must win game for the boys.. get back above .500 and even the season series. We took it to the Flames last time around, if we do that again tonight we can hopefully work our way towards some bounces!

You can only do so much.. he's due for a goal (he's had about 5 chances that have been great, but equally great saves by the goalie) and you can't help but feel bad for him when he sets Peca up with 2 empty net tap ins that he messes up. He should honestly have 8-9 assists right now.

Lombardi is out for the Flames. Horcoff and Smyth skated with the team today, but neither will strap up tonight.

The Oilers are kicking ass again tonight, especially in that second period, yet they trail 2-1. It's Kiprusoff.

That and Dvorak really has to bury that breakaway.

If we keep this up, we'll come away with 2 points.

Sigh.. few things.

#1) That goal wasn't conclusive.
#2) Pronger, Torres, Peca and Hemsky were all horrible.
#3) Dvorak's best game of the year.
#4) I hate Calgary.

#1) That goal wasn't conclusive.Especially since it was called no goal by the official, there wasn't conclusive evidence on the replays to overturn the original call.

These losses that should be wins are really hurting. The Oilers outplay their opponents consistantly every game, yet they only get a stack of L's to show for the effort.

I hate to say it this early, but games like this easily decide who's in and who's out of the playoffs. Remember last season when the Flames qualified, because of their wins over Edmonton?

Edmonton, should have won this game IMO. They dominated the flames for most of the game, it was a tough call on the goal.

Our players that need to be playing well, didnt play that great. Hopefuly they can come back with a win next game... 5 losses in a row is tough, after starting the season 3-0.

I thought (watching the replay) that it was obvious that it was a goal. What the hell is this "let's check with the video replay crew in Toronto" crap? When did this come about? (not that this happened last night - it's just an observation) If they can't make a decision in the building they shouldn't be phoning some video geeks across the country. Make the damn call and get on with the game.

I really thought the Oil were going to hand the Flames their heads on a platter last night and make sure they stole some valuble points. The Oil need to rough up Calgary and show them who their bee-itch is...and that ain't happening. What is happening is the other way around.

Five game skid....yikes.
