Alright, please do take this for what is worth. I read it on the official canucks board..and they are usually dead wrong :) Plus, it comes from the same source as the Florida rumours

But, I figured it would be good for a "fun" discussion :nod:

Anyway, MOJO reports that the Canucks are interested in acquiring Tomas Vokoun from the Nashville Predators.

These players have been included in the rumour

-Bertuzzi
-Cloutier
-Cooke
-Vokoun
-Walker
-Hartnell
-Timonen
-draft pick swaps

Now, it makes sense that the Canucks would have interest in Vokoun. I have said it many times, that Burke tried very hard to acquire Vokoun. This was when he was backing up Dunham.

Walker is a decent player. He plays with heart, can fight, and can play a top 6 role.

Hartnell is an emerging power forward. I expect him to have a very good year for Nashville. Think of him as Shane Doan, but with more upside.

Timonen is a PP wizard. Great shot, and really can QB a PP.

As I said, this is just one of those rumours(and not all the players listed could be involved)..that most likely will not happen.

However, I found it intriguing..to say the least.

Nashville's winning, can't think of a reason why they'd want to trade Vokoun, Bertuzzi included.

Yep, looks like a Vancouver driven trade to me. That trade has zero incentive for Nashville, it makes their team worse.

Yeah, trade Vokoun for Cloutier. I mean why tinker with a successful unit?

If Nashville had stumbled out of the gate maybe then I'd be able to look at this without laughing.

Yeah, thats why I found it to be an interesting rumour.

Ofcourse this won't happen, but its odd how the radio stations pick out such proposals.

Come on Timmy, I know a part of you thought this could happen. Or maybe there was so much hope that it was it seemed like.

Well ofcourse there is a little bit of thought that this could happen.But thats like one percent ;)
