Stevenson Out Eight-to-12 Weeks

Right wing has torn labrum in his right hip

Turner Stevenson will undergo surgery on a torn labrum in his right hip on Tuesday, October 18 in Nashville, Tennessee, according to Flyers Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach Jim McCrossin. He will miss eight-to-12 weeks recovering from the surgery. In three games with the Flyers so far this season, the 6?3??, 235-pound right wing has one goal.

Said Flyers Head Coach Ken Hitchcock: ?It?s a big hit. Him and [Sami] Kapanen, that was really going to be two-thirds of a checking line, so thank god we?ve had other people play well. [Branko] Radivojevic has played terrific, and [Patrick] Sharp has played really well lately on the right side. We?ve been able to muster through it. I think this just knocks us a notch down on our depth.?

Dr. Thomas Byrd at the Baptist Hospital in Nashville will perform the surgery.

I could have told you this would happen at some point this year. I guess the Flyers third best scoring option is gone for awhile.:D ;)

No, the top goal scorer in the NHL is on our team. So is his linemate.

If I were you, I'd be worried about losing games to the Hurricanes than what is happening with the Flyers. I watched that Rangers game on Comcast Internet, that one goal scored on Marty was an easy one.

Usually I dig chicks that bite.

I hope Forsberg can stay healthy this year, It will be good to see the league's scoring leader come from a last placed team. =]

No, I like ladies who are my cousins.

Nah, I like girls with nice teeth, but when they're being oral I don't like it when the use them excessively. When I say Oral I mean eating ice cream.

Stevenson's surgery went well, he will be back in two months, so middle of November. Should get Kappy back around that time too, sweet.

We still beat the Devils without those 2 anyway so what's your point?
