Watching Kyle Wellwood and Alexander Steen over the last few games I really am happy and impressed with the talent that these two guys have. Steen has 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points in 6 games and Wellwood has 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points in 5 games.

It's nice to see two Leaf draft picks come up and have success at this level!

Yeah it is. So many people said Wellwood would do nothing in the NHL, well it's early but he's certainly looking good and when Sundin comes back, Wellwood certainly won't be going down. I could see it being Czerkawski or Wilm.

This was to be expected for Steen. He has great talent and I've always thought he'd be the future heart and soul of this team. Antropov and Poni have been playing well too. Not to mention Matt Stajan who has been steady and has 4 points(I think, could be more). Tellqvist looked good in that one game aswell. This team with horrible scouting and horrible draft skills has 6 youngsters on the team and they're all doing well thus far. Great to see.

EDIT- Little note on Wellwood. 5 points in 5 games, average ice time? 6:35. Why isn't he out there more?

The one youngster I'm really impressed with is Alexander Steen. His two-way play is that of a veteran and his vision of the ice is well advanced.Would have been nice though if we had a youngster(Wozy or Coli) on the blueline taking Belaks spot!
