View Full Version : Is everyone ready for Halloween?

I can't decide whether to wear my Wolverine or Spiderman costume. At least on Halloween, people don't point and laugh when I go out in costume; although they do look at me funny when I show up at their doors and say trick or treat. This year, I'll stick to the little old ladies with bad eye sight, they just think I'm a really tall and fat 12 year old, my giggling when I see the candy helps too.
Anyways, is anyone going trick or treating or taking their kids out?
Anyone have a strategy on who has the best candy? Several theories say it's the rich neighbourhoods but those same neighbourhoods have a lot of health food nuts that give out granola bars. Better to stick to middle income homes, they know junk food.
After spending some time hiding in the bushes and jumping out at kids, I'll spend the rest of the evening watching the park across the street for hooligans and maybe for my efforts, the ladies in my apartment building will slip me some candy. Maybe the hot female cop will drop by and we can play bad cop, naughty cop. :D

Handcuffs and candy sounds like a match made in heaven!:D
My halloween will consist of handing out candy and watching horror movies with the wife while pigging out on leftover candy and popcorn!
Cheers

I like to sit in the bushes with my goalie mask on, and wait for cheerful trick-or-treaters to stroll on by. Then when they least expect it, I fire up my chainsaw and wave it around their heads as I jump out of the bushes screaming like a banshee. If you startle them enough... they'll usually drop their candy before they run away.
More for me. he he

I think it is Mel. I notice that the Edit function isn't working for me either.
You should go back to that old Av Mel. I take a chainsaw much more seriously then I do a tub of Margerine.

The inline editing you mean?
It's really Kewl, but it won't work in all browsers. Your browser version is not considered up to date I don't think, especially for a Mac. What happens when you click the edit button?

Nothing. I have a newer version of Safari already installed - Maybe I'll start using that. Shouldn't have any problems on my work computer though.

Pretty much exclusively. No sence in bashing away on a keyboard during valuable play time, right?

I used to live in one of those neighbourhoods, Tea. Pissed me off to no end to see carload after carload of kids from the other side of town get out to run amoke in OUR 'hood looking for the good stuff.
Little bastids...how they looked at me when they only got a single wagonwheel...especially the older ones who did not put any thought, imagination or effort into a decent costume. Same goes to parents who carry their infants door-to-door looking for free junk food - yeah, like you're gonna be doling that out to the kid the next day *rolls eyes*.
I now have an easy way of preparing for halloween....

We have a family across the street in our Cul d'Sac, the mother always hands out granola bars. Chocolate, sugary candy people that is what kids and their parents who raid the stash want! :pimp:

I know what I'm being for a halloween. It took a great deal of preparation and thought but I've finally come to a conclusion.
I'm going to be a drunken fool.
There are too many kids in my neighbourhood and i am thinking of skipping the Halloween thing because it is costing wayyyyy too much. last year I spent over $50.00 and still ran out of candy.

Yeah, its a pain in the butt..having to get up..go down the stairs..and hand out candy. Especially when its every 5-10 minutes.
I'll be babysitting the dog. She hates the fireworks/firecrackers..starts to go nutty as a fruitcake.

It seems like there is a steady stream of kids from 5:30 until 7:00. I love the ones that get driven around. Can't kids walk these days?

Jeesh guys, I'm sorry this thing is an inconvenience but I mean they're kids. They don't mean any harm, it's just tradition. This is comparable to Scrooge on Christmas.
Bah hum bug.
Halloween.. meh.
I'm sour about it because I started getting told I was too old in 5th grade. Gotta love being tall. It's on a monday night this year I think. Hopefully I have hockey, I have no intrest in giving candy out to kids.
Im getting crunk for Halloween.

There's a beauty in having little brothers around this time of year. I can just threaten them for their candy.
