Where to begin.

It was an awful effort by everyone.

The offense was non existent, even from Naslund. Bertuzzi was either floating around, trying fancy passes or looking totally lost. Macguire was right; Bertuzzi needs to get angry and become the dominant force we know he can be. The long imposed exile from the NHL has turned Bertuzzi into a pussycat. Maybe he's going to anger management classes and learning to channel his anger. A soft and cuddly Bertuzzi spells doom for the top line. Also Morrison keeps getting removed from the top line because he's underperforming as well. The A S S line had some energy on the powerplay but overall, they were non effective. The 3rd and 4th line didn't play much because of a constant stream of both teams' players to the penalty box.

The defense's effort was the near opposite of the impressive outing against the Red Wings. They got caught several times by the speedy Wild players and got burned.

Why Brookbank was dressed, is beyond me, he did nothing except bump Cloutier on one play, reminded me of Sopel.

Cloutier sucked bad. Sure his defense let him down on several of the goals but at least 2 goals were softies that he should have stopped.

The Wild played quite well, clogging up every passing and shooting lane. They deserved to win and get the shutout.

At least with the Canucks staying in Minnesota for the Friday game against the Wild, Crawford and the rest of the coaching staff can smarten the Canucks up and hopefully Friday's game has a totally different result. One good thing is this was only the 4th Canuck game of the season.

This game was on TSN in Ontario. Shiver me timbers - that scoundrel Jarkko Ruutu set the tone in period one...

1. Stuck out "no no" stick & deflected in first Wild goal
2. Took dumb penalty less than 15 seconds later.
3. Rode the plank for rest of period for his trouble.

Aharrrr! ...the Jyrki Lumme hat trick.

What a horrible showing for the Nucks, and without Gaborik on the other side..

What can you do? It was a very bad game..and the team just didn't show up for the game.

Cloutier wasn't sharp, but not at fault for the loss. His defense was non-existant..and no one was scoring.

The top line had two shots for the game. Terrible. Bertuzzi really has to step up his game, or take a seat.

I'm surprised with Morrison..since he played last season..and at the Worlds.

This game was a test, and its only game 4. But this needs to be a wakeup call.

Start producing, and do it now

It was ugly. They have started most games flat this season. I hope this serves as a wake up call. The Wild really played well, great postioning great legal use of their sticks, and Roloson was unworldly. All the rebounds went off to the side where the Canucks weren't positioned.

No excuses from me, the Canucks were butt ugly last night. I hope this serves as a wake up call. Stop reading your press notices and play a full 60 minutes!

I know it's still early, but did I not predict something to the effect of this.. or should I say exactly this. While it still remains a possibility, I can't see Tuzzi being the player he was.. for that one year.

I know that this is a late post and rather meaningless now....but what a brutal game by the Nucks.

In other news...

Tommy Salo might be available in a player-for-player exchange with the team Vastra Frolunda.

Aharrrr! ...the Jyrki Lumme hat trick.Ruutu certainly pulled a Lumme hat trick for that game although Brookbank was a close second with his bumping into Cloutier move.
