3 games down, 2 points earned in shootout losses, 1 loss in regulation, 0 wins.

Will Toronto finally get a victory?

We fly back to Toronto tonight and will take on the Flyers tommorow night, with all signs point to Telly getting the call. First game against the Flyers since J.R. ended our cup dreams a year ago. Jeff O'Neill is questionable and his status will be known later tommorow. Leafs should be sluggish early, but hopefully the adreneline will kick in a we can finally get that elusive "W"

Prior to the weekend I would have said that Toronto would take the Ottawa game, and go on to loose to the Flyers on Tuesday. Well we lost to the Sens yet again, and I wouldn't count on a W tonight still. But, we'll see. I certainly don't mind loosing to worthy opponents like Ottawa and Montr?al in one goal looses, but when you start your season off struggling too long without a win.... that can have some long-term mental damage. We really need solid win tonight, but the Leafs will be tired. If we have to play this hard every night only to go on to loose on a SO... it will be long season. We must work on Penalty killing, and defensive positioning. And, although he hasn?t had a whole lot of help... Eddie's got to pick it up. He's our magic carpet.

Just look on the brightside Bluemeanie,we're only 2 points out of a playoff spot! :thumb:

I'm predicting the Leafs will win tonight in a shootout! :D

Tough call. Checking the sked and I don't see the Leaf playing the Blues AT ALL this year.

Ahhhh...it's early. Nothing to worry about.

It's going to be a tough game for sure. If we play like we played defensively in the other games, we don't stand a chance. We've got to be stronger on the puck and enough of these soft plays coming out of the defensive zone over the blueline.

Hopefully the leafs win, Lindros will be pumped, O'niell will be back and hopefully Caber and Kabs will continue their strong play.

Telqvist is in...CRAP!

That could be a good thing judging my Belfour's performance last night. Good to see Telly has a chance this year, hopefully he'll run with it tonight. He'll have to be on top of his game because our D is nothing short of horrible so far.

Tucker scored, Allison and Berg with the assists.

Flyers score, shorthanded. Mike Knuble.

1-1 with a little bit to go in the third. I'm gone for the night.

Johnny must have the game in advance or something

Anyways it was an alright 1st period, our PP is garbage though, would like to see us decline the penalties since we can't do anything and end up giving up a goal. Telly's playing pretty good which is good news :thumb: .

Great win tonight, Telly was awesome and kept us alive in the 2nd when Philly should've scored 5 times. O'Neill got a key PP goal and Lindros added insurance against his former team... and get this, we held a lead

We now get a few games to rest before heading to "Hot"lanta home of the choking Braves... or in this case the Thrashers.

Khavanov had a rough game, but picked it up in the 3rd and made up for his mistakes with some good defensive play. And Wellwood got his 1st NHL goal which was assisted by the other kids :thumb: and not only that, but it looks like he's inspired Antropov and Poni to pick up their games which can only be good

Telly sure earned his pay tonight! Nice games from Allison, Lindros and O'Neill and congrats to Welly on his first goal.

Chad Kilger = MONSTER

Excellent performance by Telly. He was definitely the reason the Leafs won tonight, just making big save after big save. The defense also seems to be coming along. As long as Belak and Berg aren't on the same pairing they seem to do alright. Both will still make some mistakes, but their play has been adaquate. They also seem to be using their bodies a bit more. Antropov also played a strong game, and he'll definitely have to keep his strong play up and provide some offense for us this season.

Fantastic game accept that bit in the 2nd. Way tp pull up their socks and rebound in the 3rd. I swear if I heard Bowen say to the line and not out one more time I was going to boot a hole in my TV~!

The flyer's first goal was because of Alexander Khavanov. He was in perfect position but when Knuble got to the front of the net he did nothing, and it was a goal. The second goal was just terrible D zone coverage.

Tellqvist was awesome with 31 saves earning the victory. He'll have another chance to shine later this week against either Montreal or Atlanta. Hats off to Kyle Wellwood with continuing his great play and notched his first of many NHL goals. Steen and Stajan got the assists. Great to see. Antropov and Poni both had good games with some big hits.

Allison was better notching two points on the night and the first goal was all him.

Eric Lindros just keeps on rolling with a beauty top shelf goal to seal the deal too. What a shot.

Finally we have our first win, if we can just tighten up the screws a little more defensively we can put a good streak together here.

We have to look at the brightside here, the beginning of this season could have been worse. Coming out of that with 4 points in the first four games isn't too bad considering out opponents. The schedule doesn't get much easier but offensively we've been great and we're improving defensively, there's no reason we can't start a little streak here.

I'm looking forward to see how Eddie responds after 2 bad games by himself and a monster game from up and comer Mikeal Tellqvist.
