4-3 Final OT

Ryder with two goals, including the OT winner

Pros:
-Theodore played well when he had to
-Markov was a force on defence, the new rules will help him
-Perezhogin had an excellent goal, and will be an offensive force

Cons:
-Souray didn't look too sharp. He needs to keep his game simple, and focus more on the game

-PP didn't look sharp. They need to really work on it. Two missed 5-3 opportunities

Overall, a good game for the Habs. Got the win, and thats what counts. I really like the speed of the team, and the youthful depth :thumb:

Habs are starting the season off very well, 2-0 with both wins coming on the road and one was a big win against a division rival which, scoring with 11 seconds left saved a crucial point that could've been earned by the Bruins.

Ryder is on a tear right now, the short training camp for him is showing no signs of wearyness as he has just been lighting it up in very key times... although the goal against Weekes was...well weak :thumb: Although come April, the weak goal win only look like a 'W'. Tough game against the Leafs coming up, 3rd game in 4 nights, rested Leaf team(even though we've lost captain Mats) Won't be easy, that's for sure

Michael Ryder... just give him an extension now.

Yeah, good idea Johnny

He is a steal at 1 million

Pretty sure he will do well this season, and ask for a raise. Gainey should lock him up to a multiyear contract
