SENATORS SIGN TREVOR JOHNSON
BINGHAMTON ? The Binghamton Senators announced today the signing of South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL) defenseman Trevor Johnson to a 25-game professional try-out contract (PTO).
The native of Trail, British Columbia, attended the Senators preseason training camp in September and October before being released prior to the start of the regular season. Johnson recorded three points (0 goals, 3 assists) and 17 penalty minutes in three preseason games.
Johnson joins the Senators from the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL), who were eliminated from the Kelly Cup playoffs by Florida. In 59 games with South Carolina and Peoria (ECHL), Johnson scored 34 points (8 goals, 26 assists) with a +18 rating and 65 penalty minutes. He also skated in three games with the Hershey Bears (AHL) but did not score.
