I wasn't sure what Forum to post this in, so I chose this one because it's sort of to do with our game. Before making this post, I asked our Administrator's permission (and got it) to make this post.
I just received my NHLFA (NHL Fans' Association) Update and posted it below. In the last paragraph the Newsletter mentions 'Season Misconduct' merchandise. I just checked it out. They have mugs, a T-Shirt, pins, all that say Season Misconduct. 20% of the sales $ go back to the NHLFA and 10% of the Sales $ goes to supporting hockey related charities. Sounds like a good deal to me.
A few months ago, a Sabres fan in Buffalo made a Ribbon Magnet for the car. There was an article on TSN about it. It's like the other ribbons you see on cars, but it's vertical instead of horizontal. It's Orange and Black and says 'I want my Hockey fix(ed)' for the double mean of hockey fix and for hockey to be fixed. I ordered two of them right away. I still have the 'I want my Hockey fix(ed)' magnets on my car and they will remain on my car until Hockey is fixed.
I'm going to get at least the 'Season Misconduct' T-Shirt. Along with the car magnets, this is another way I can get the message out that I am DISPLEASED with the NHL and the NHLPA (because of the lockout, more with the PA than the League). The article below includes the link to the 'Season Misconduct' items. (I've been a member of the NHLFA since 1998 and have seen the fan growth in the NHLFA).

This note is being sent to the 27,412 Members of the NHL Fans' Association.
Today marks an important day in CBA negotiations between the NHL and the NHLPA. Let's hope that not only can the two sides work out a satisfactory deal, but that they recognize the damage that has been done to the league and initiate a significant fan or customer relations campaign this summer.
The results of our last survey indicates that fans are truly upset over the cancellation of the season. More than 65% of you answered "very upset", while 25% selected "somewhat upset". Over the last seven months, fans have been consistent is laying blame: 12% NHL & team owners; 44% players & NHLPA; and, 42% both parties. More than half of you (56%) intend to watch the same number of games when the NHL resumes play, while a good portion (28%) intend to watch fewer games. If the NHL ices replacement players, 33% of you will watch the same number of games, while 48% will watch fewer games.
Please take a moment and look at the "Season Misconduct" merchandise available to our Members. If you make a purchase, the NHLFA receives 20 per cent of product sales and a further 10 per cent of the sales go to a charity of our choice. Please take a look at the "Season Misconduct" products available at www.nhlfa.com/season_misconduct. We feel these items are reasonably priced and you can order the items either by phone, fax or e-mail. Operators are standing by...
You can also become an NHLFA "MVP" by making a financial contribution at www.nhlfa.com/2don8.asp. A list of NHLFA MVPs can be found at www.nhlfa.com/mvp.asp.
