This has just occured to me. Remember in the lockout we were all talking about the strict labour laws in BC, and how replacement players weren't allowed? That goes the same for replacement workers right?

CBC is currently using replacment workers. Does that mean that in the second game of the double header when the game is in Vancouver, that the game won't be broadcasted?

If so, that sucks.

I hadn't thought of that, but I think you are correct. Now if managament personel are broadcasting they might get away with it, like football is right now, but no announcers for that "Live at the Game" experience.

I'm thinking that after the first HNIC without commentators, the CBC will be flooded with angry emails, phone calls and snail mail telling the CBC to settle things with its workers or else.

I won't miss Bob and Harry's homerism but I will miss Chris Cuthbert. Jim Hughson will be a good substitute. At least Cuthbert will be on TSN games. :D

Does this mean the end of Gord Miller and Pierre McGuire? If so, let's all put the Captain Morgan's and Vicodin down, and celebrate.
