EAST DIVISION SEMIFINALS SET: The Senators will face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the first time in the playoffs when the teams kick off a best-of-seven series in Binghamton on Friday evening. During the regular season the Senators held a 7-1-0-0 record and won the last seven meetings between the teams after losing the series opener 2-0 on Halloween Day.

JASON SPEZZA leads all scorers with 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) in eight games. Left wing RAMZI ABID was the leading scorer for the Penguins with eight points (3 goals, 5 assists) in eight games. RAY EMERY played in six games against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and finished with a 5-1-0 record and a 1.82 goals-against average while his counterpart, MARC-ANDRE FLEURY, played five games against the Sens and had a 1-3-0 record with a 3.00 goals-against average. The winner of the series moves onto the East Division Finals where they will face either Norfolk or Philadelphia.

Tickets for first two games in Binghamton are now on sale and may be purchased at the Senators executive office on the third floor of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena or at the Arena box office. The Sens office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The box hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased by calling the Senators office at (607) 722-SENS, online at www.binghamtonsenators.com or at any other Ticketmaster outlet.

SENS ATTENDANCE UP AGAIN: The Senators set a new franchise record for average home attendance this season. In 39 games played at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena the Sens average attendance was 4,388. Including a home game played at the Corel Centre in Ottawa, Ontario on Jan. 22, the Senators averaged 4,633 for home games placing them 20th among the league?s 28 teams.
