First, I will say, I hate to see anyone hurt like this. I don't wish serious injury on any player, even if I don't like him.
I used to like Scott Gomez, but not anymore. I found out Scott Gomez is a dirty player. The last few games the Aces played the Gulls in San Diego, he made some very dirty hits on the Gulls Players. At first, fans here were excited to see him, but after the dirty stunts he pulled here, he was being booed by everyone, including me. I'll never like him again.
Ashlee Langdone used to be on the Gulls, but that was before I moved here. He's been on other teams for at least the last 3 years. He always plays dirty when he plays against the Gulls, so this doesn't surprise me. Food for thought. Maybe Scott did something dirty towards the Condors and Langdone took care of business. However, if that's what he was doing, he's just as bad, if not worse, than Scott Gomez. From what I've heard about Langdone, and what I've seen of him, he is a dirty player. In no way do I condone what Langdone did. I have to agree with the Aces Coach. This was absolutely disgraceful.
Langdone was suspended by the League. Tonight's game, pending further review. I sure hope they decide to give futher suspension to Langdone. This kind of crap doesn't belong at any level of hockey.
Having an NHL Player injured in Europe, the AHL and the ECHL was bound to happen. They should sign a new CBA and get back where they belong.

Scott Gomez breaks pelvis in ECHL game

It's what NHL general managers feared during the lockout - a serious injury to one of their players who had found work elsewhere.
Alaska Aces leading scorer Scott Gomez suffered a broken pelvis in an overtime loss to the Bakersfield Condors in Game 4 of the EHCL playoffs on Saturday.
The NHL all-star and New Jersey Devils restricted free agent was headed back to his bench when the Condors' Ashlee Langdone slammed him awkwardly into the open gate.
Aces coach Davis Payne said prospects are good for a full recovery but like any broken bone, it needs time to heal. Payne, however, was not impressed with Langdone's actions.
''It's one thing to play that type of hockey, to finish your checks, to check hard, punch, slash and facewash people from behind,'' Payne said to the Anchorage Daily News. ''But it's another thing to take a premium superstar who did everyone in the game of hockey a favour by coming here and hit him like that.
''It's absolutely disgraceful."
