Boston is nearing the cap, and still has to resign Gill, Boynton, and Raycroft

Do you think Boynton would be a good fit in Vancouver?

Boynton Bio (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl_network/teams/player_bio.asp?player_name=Nick+Boynton&hubName=BOS)

He is physical, a right hand shot, and a smooth skater. Exactly what the Canucks need IMO.

Jovo, Ohlund, Boynton, Salo..not a bad top 4

I'm thinking he could be signed for 2 million a season. But the question is..what would it take to get him?

He'd instantly become your #2 Dman.

Would be awesome, but like you said.. it's tough to say what you're going to give up. Boston doesn't need any help down the middle, but IIRC they're pretty weak in terms of their D prospects. Maybe a deal could form around Bourdon+ ?

I think they'd still want another DMan coming back as well, which would be a stumbling point from the Canucks POV.

Yeah, thats the thing. Canucks are now very weak on defense. If they do trade, it cannot be with a current canuck defenseman on the roster

So..how about

Koltsov(offensive defenseman prospect)
2nd round pick

for Boynton?
