That was certainly a unique experience, watching the Eskimos/Argonauts game without play-by-play or colour commentary, due to the network's employee lock-out. Probably for the best though, since the CBC's CFL teams suck.

Edmonton played three awful quarters of uninspired football on both sides of the ball, especially in that third quarter. They did make a comeback to within three points, but the deficit was too high for them to catch up to Toronto in time.

I don't know what that punt returner was thinking when he took the single with under a minute to play, putting EDM behind by four. Not a smart play at all. A poor showing for the majority of tonight's game did the Eskimos in and they deserved to lose.

I caught the last 1/4 on the tube after work. First CFL action I've actually seen all season....boy-oh-boy those Eskies have to pull up their socks. That was brutal. At least they aren't the Tie-Cats. *wink*

This was a very sloppy game. There were people slipping everywhere on the grass at Commonwealth. Ricky Ray was intercepted by Eric England of all people. The Edmonton tacklers were absolutely brutal as they were killed by touchdowns of 90 and 89 yards respectively. Ricky Ray was 40-56 for 414 yards and only scored 18 points, there has got to be some issues with that. Compliments to the Argonauts D for not allowing him to put up the points in the red zone.

Naturally, the Argos forgot about the running game, but signed Sean Millington out of retirement for some reason.
