Flyers Pass Opening Game Puck Around Town

The official game puck which will be used in the Philadelphia Flyers? regular season opener against the New York Rangers on Wednesday, October 5, is literally being passed around town.

In preparation for the upcoming hockey season, the official game puck will make 50 stops in the 50 days leading up to the first game of the season. The historic journey will be documented by clicking on the slide show below.


Follow the puck?s journey daily to discover where the puck has been placed along with hints where the puck can be found the following day. Fans can try to determine where the puck will be before it?s posted!

The Flyers will open the 2005-06 against the New York Rangers at the Wachovia Center on Wednesday, October 5.

What a terrific idea this is for the Flyers to get people excited for the return of the NHL. I like what they're doing with the banners and billboards throughout the city with the "Back Where We Belong" slogan. Good on Philadelphia.

Jist kidding guys, I think it's great that Philly's got the PR Machine going full force, every team in the league should follow Philly's lead.
