I'm sure May will teach Moore a thing or two about the darkside of the game. ;)

Haven't you heard, Bertuzzi may not be able to play in games Moore does.. so Moore will be an Oiler ;)

I think this is the most disrespectful and insulting thing Pierre Lacroix has done to the Avalanche to date!!!! Screwing both Peter and Adam obviously wasn't bad enough. This whole Avalanche Management makes me sick.
The Avalanche used to be known as a Class organization, now we are known for stupidity, disrespect, and greed....Nice Pierre!! I won't even ask whats next, I'm sure it will be degrading and disgusting if left in Lacroix's hands....
150 dollars a seat for watching this mess? I don't think so I'll catch it for free at home... :coffee:

The Avs seem to have gotten older and slower, even after Foote signed with Columbus.

Since when was not having cap room screwing Peter and Adam. If the Avs wanted to retain them they would have to "screw" Joe and Rob by buying them out. Bottom line is when it comes to money there's absolutely no loyalty. Peter and Adam could've taken paycuts if they really wanted to be Avs, but they did what was best for Peter and Adam. That's the reality of a capped league. Good teams are gonna have to say goodbye to top players because it gets to the point where they simply can't afford them anymore. It happens all the time in the NFL, but that's why they have such parity. Once a team gets really good all it's players start demanding big money and cuts need to be made. They'll go to teams with cap room and the balance of power will shift. That makes it extremely hard to mantain a powerhouse, and if any team can go on a Patriot like run of championships in the new NHL I'd be quite amazed.

Either Peter or Adam could have been retained with the money used for 2 has beens and 1 possible felon.....So I really do have to disagree with you Leafs...
If Pierre would have taken the time to talk to both Peter and Adam instead of putting the offer 1.5 million and not returning a call, I'm sure things would have turned out differently. As it stands now this top shelf product he is always talking about which I might add just became the bottom shelf bargin basement team....With the exception of Joe and Rob...My how we have fallen, or to be more accurate Pierre has dropped the whole franchise....I'm done ranting about this. I will watch the games from home I love The Avalanche, I will not spend my hard earned money for 150.00 seats to watch us get creamed...The 150.00 per seat 3rd and 4th players are no longer here, therefore the ticket prices should be lowered accordingly...I'm on strike and a 10% cut for the fans is an insult...
Brad May wasn't that good anyway.
As for the rotten Avs; :D , hehehe. Maybe Lacroix has lost his edge or could it just be a ploy to look stupid while really pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. I'm think the latter and the rotten Avs will be in the hunt for the cup once again.

Maybe not the Cup, but the Avs should be a playoff team again.
You've got May-al
Fans in Colorado took full advantage of the opportunity to email Avalanche VP of Communication Jean Martineau with their thoughts on the signing of self-proclaimed 'bounty hunter' and ex-Canuck, Brad May.
Sportsnet.ca -- Considering the pack of post-lockout free-agents available, the Colorado Avalanche might have picked the only player fans do not want in the lineup.
In the wake of the club signing former Vancouver Canuck Brad May to a contract, local columnist Dave Krieger posted the email address (with permission) of Jean Martineau, the Avs' senior vice president for communication, inviting fans to send the exec their feelings on May.
The response? Just 48 hours after the invite, Martineau was the recipient of 344 messages. Three supported the May signing. One asked May to beat up Todd Bertuzzi. The remainder used various adjectives to describe the feeling of watching a player who publicly placed a bounty of Avs' forward Steve Moore.
The Avs are not a team desperate to sell tickets, but rumblings of boycotting the team after the dubious signing reverberated throughout the city; vowing to return when the team cut May. Several season-ticket holders even resented the fact renewals had been sent in prior to the May arrival.
The most succinct of the messages simply pointed out the irony of the whole scene:
"It is bizarre to fill Moore's roster spot with a litigant in his lawsuit."
May signing aside, Colorado also lost all-stars Adam Foote and Peter Forsberg to free-agency in the offseason.

Spoken like a true Nucks fan. ;)
All kidding aside it is yet another suspect signing by the avs. Time for me to take over the club.
