The New York Rangers have re-signed defenseman Thomas Pock and agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent left-wing Martin Rucinsky.
Terms of the deals are not yet known. "Martin is coming off an excellent 2005 World Championships where he helped win the gold medal for the Czech Republic," said Rangers GM Glen Sather.

"He has been a solid performer for our hockey club in his two stints here and we feel he can step back into our lineup and make significant contributions on both the offensive and defensive ends of the ice."

Rucinsky, 34, has appeared in 817 career NHL contests with St. Louis, Edmonton, Quebec/Colorado, Montreal, Dallas and the Rangers, registering 208 goals and 300 assists for 508 points, along with 677 penalty minutes.
The Most, Czech Republic native was originally selected by the Edmonton Oilers as the team's second choice, 20th overall, in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft.

Pock, 23, spent a majority of the 2004-05 season with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL, registering one goal and five assists for six points, along with 55 penalty minutes in 50 games.

The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder was originally signed by the Rangers as a free agent on March 23, 2004.
