Not sure where to put this, but I found it kind of interesting and worth putting here somewhere.

Hockey phenom Sidney Crosby to appear on Leno on Thursday night

TORONTO (CP) - Sidney Crosby is headed to Hollywood.

The teenage hockey phenom is scheduled to appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday. Crosby, who turns 18 this Sunday, joins actor Rob Schneider (Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo) and musician Michael Penn on the NBC talk show.

The Pittsburgh Penguins made Crosby the first overall pick in Saturday's NHL draft in Ottawa.

Crosby, from Cole Harbour, N.S., will tape the show Thursday afternoon.

While he is in Los Angeles, Crosby is also scheduled to be interviewed by the magazine Vanity Fair. He will also be appearing in a Reader's Digest article expected to be published in October.

I hope the pressure isn't too much for him and that people are patient. Remeber Lecavalier and Thornton took many hits from the press when they first made it into the NHL because they took a couple of years to become the players that they are today.

Mario will set anybody(media) straight if the comments get to negative. Mario lived through it he'll keep Crosby grounded and focussed. :thumb:

I just saw the segment with Sidney Crosby. It was a tough act to follow Rob Schneider and Crosby seemed a little nervous at first. He was very serious throughout the program, just like the interviews he does with TSN. I don't Crosby is the best personality to be promoting hockey, but at least some Americans now know of him. It's worth the watch, because he takes some shots at a dryer, a la his younger days.

I missed it.

I've tuned into NBC just in time for Conan though. Only late show worth watching IMO.

I missed it.

I've tuned into NBC just in time for Conan though. Only late show worth watching IMO. Jay Leno is a bimbo as far as I'm concerned and this will be the last time I watch him in a while.

Letterman is the real deal - haven't missed a Late Show in months. Tonight I still watched his monologue, game (Audience Show & Tell) and Top Ten list.

Conan has become more tolerable lately. He has my boy John O'Hurley, a.k.a. Seinfeld's Jay Peterman, on tonight. http://www.hockeystation.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
